We're part of a national program,
and because we work with youth and children, we conduct a leader training and
screening process.
Here's a general overview of what
you'll need to do to become an outings leader:
Join the
Sierra Club
Contact us to receive an
application
Get certified in CPR and first aid
(Red Cross or equivalent)
Obtain a Missouri Highway Patrol
police check
Co-lead a number of outings
before becoming certified as a leader
Receive approval from ICO St.
Louis committee
There may be other
responsibilities as well.
