Founded in 2004, the Tuwkila Elementary ICO program was Seattle ICO's first agency located outside of the City of Seattle. The school campus is located south of Seattle in the City of Tukwila -- northeast of the intersection of I-5 and I-405. Grade 3-5 students are selected to participate in a variety of Saturday outings throughout the school year, and 4th graders participate in a year-end weekend overnight trip. Approximately 15 youth have participated in each outing since the inception of this program. Tukwila Elementary School is comprised of a very diverse student population with children representing 21+ nations and speaking 20+ languages other than English.
