Inner City Outings (ICO) is a community outreach program of the Sierra Club that lets urban youth participate in outdoor, environmentally diverse activities. Volunteers lead a variety of outings from backpacking trips to trail cleanups to canoe trips. ICO volunteers introduce participants to the natural world and teach them how important it is to protect and restore wild places. Forty-five ICO groups partner with local youth-oriented agencies in urban areas throughout the U.S.
