OUTING HIGHLIGHTS:

The youngsters learned how to read a map and find their way around using it. One group saw a protected forest with a small picnic area featuring benches fashioned from halves of trees where people could enjoy nature in the busy city. The nature preserve inspired the youngsters to design a similar setting, particularly the benches, in their school’s backyard. On the walk home, the youngsters brainstormed about how they could plan and bring their idea to reality.
