HOW YOU CAN HELP...
Join Us
BICO has no paid staff and therefore depends on the time and dedication
of volunteers. New volunteers are welcome to participate in scheduled group
outings and are invited to attend BICO planning meetings, generally held
every other month.
Once comfortable with the group, volunteers are encouraged to become
Certified ICO Leaders, enabling them to plan and lead their own outings.
To be certified, a volunteer must be a Sierra Cub member, pass a routine
background check, and participate in ICO leadership training. Additionally,
BICO sponsors First Aid and CPR training for its leaders.
Contact the BICO Chair for details.
Donate
BICO outings are provided at no-cost to our youth particpants.
As a non-profit organization, BICO accepts both monetary and in-kind
donations. Money is used to fund group outings as well as leadership training
initiatives. Outing costs generally include transportation, entry fees,
food and supplies. BICO gladly accepts outings gear (e.g. camping equipment,
tents, backpacks, etc.) and clothing (warm clothes, gloves, socks, etc.).
See the donors list of those who have helped
us with contributions.
